The Wilson Athletic Leadership Council met this past week and we discussed our next initiatives and reviewed the first two chapters of the Team Captain’s Leadership Manual. We also discussed the power of positivity and how it is so important when it comes to sport and life. Part of that work is filling each other emotional tanks and the power of recognition, like the high five! https://d3kv8ayplk3lle.cloudfront.net/sites/uploads/files/HSSP_Ch7.pdf
The Week in Review: The Volleyball Program traveled to South Eugene for the 1st Round of the OSAA State Playoffs. The team competed valiantly but came up short losing 3-1 against a very competitive South team. The Program had an unbelievable year with some great accomplishments and should be very proud of their 2018 Season. We March On!
The Football Program wrapped up their regular season on Friday night with a convincing win over the visiting Techmen of Benson High School. The program has a ton to be proud of playing in a new league and competing week in and week out. We March On!
The Women’s Soccer Program traveled to Mountainside for the 1st Round of the OSAA State Playoffs. Unfortunately, we were limping into the game with some key injuries to the squad and played a very good Mountainside team who ultimately won the contest. The team has a lot to be proud of and returns a solid nucleus of players for next year. We March On!
Cross Country wrapped up their regular season with a good finish at the PIL Championships. The Varsity Men finished 3rd while the Women finished 2nd . On the JV side, the Women finished 1st and the Men 2nd . Both Varsity squads will be traveling to Eugene for the State Cross Country Meet at Lane Community College. Well done XC! We March On!
