The Week in Review
The Varsity Women’s Soccer Team had a good week with two tough PIL opponents coming to our house. We battled it out with Cleveland scoring first but couldn’t manage to hold to the early lead and fell to the Warriors. On Thursday, we faced off with Grant and what a game it was. Our own Lucy Quinn netted a goal late in the second half to seal the deal with a 2-1 win. The JV2 has two games this week with Franklin and Lincoln while the JV and Varsity are on the road to Roosevelt on Wednesday. The Varsity Men’s Soccer program was on the road this past week to take on Benson and Grant. They were able to take down the Techsters but couldn’t pull one out against a very good Grant team on Thursday. The JV and Varsity are home on Wednesday when we host Roosevelt and the JV2 Program plays Franklin and Lincoln this week as well. The Volleyball Program had another impressive week. All three levels won at Benson on Tuesday and against Grant on Thursday as they continue to March On in league play. The Varsity traveled to Westview on Saturday where they beat Cleveland, Grant, and Aloha to win their bracket. Coach Mendak and his staff are doing an outstanding job of building a strong Volleyball Program. Our Football Program had a strong showing this week. The JV2 squad battled it out with St. Helens on Monday but came up just short in their efforts. The team continues to improve and grow which is a great sign for the future. The Varsity squad pitched a shutout against Hillsboro on Friday night. The JV2 has a big week as they host Hillsboro on Monday and Parkrose on Friday while the Varsity will play Parkrose on Friday night. It was great to see the Cheerleaders and the Dance Team in action on Friday night! Coach Boole and Soppe-Navetta are continuing to build an inclusive, exciting, and fun program! We March On! And finally, the Cross Country Program had another strong showing this week. We hosted a meet on Wednesday and the runners competed and tuned up for the big meet on Saturday where the Women finished 5th at the Nike Portland XC Meet. Outstanding job!

A message from the Booster Club:
Volunteer for concessions today! The Wilson Booster Club manages concession sales at games. All profits are returned to Wilson clubs and sports. In order to offer concessions, volunteers are needed to prepare and sell hot dogs, popcorn, etc. Sign up to help today at http://signup.com/go/VJ19f3. No experience necessary! If you are new to concession volunteering you'll be trained when you arrive. This is a fun way to give back to the Wilson community.
