Greetings Sports Fans!

We followed up a great week of Wilson Athletics last week with another fantastic week! The Unified Soccer Team traveled to Wilsonville over the weekend to attend the end of the year tournament and took home the Gold Medal! And just as importantly, or maybe even more, the won the Sportsmanship Award as well! What an amazing accomplishment and another example of all that is awesome with Wilson High School.

The Track Program had a great showing at the Varsity District Meet this past week. The following student-athletes will be heading to Eugene this week for the State Meet.

Outstanding accomplishments for the group and the Track and Field Program! We March On!

The Women’s Golf Team is heading down to Corvallis to play in the State Golf Tournament on Monday and Tuesday. They are playing at Trysting Tree Golf Course off of Hwy 34 in Corvallis.  On the Men’s side, Loren Sckerl qualified for the State Tourament and is heading down to Creswell to play at Emerald Valley Golf and Resort.

The Women’s Lacrosse team finished off the regular season and honored their outgoing senior class on Thursday. We hosted the West Albany Bulldogs came out victorious. The squad is playing on Tuesday in the first round of the Lacrosse State Playoffs.

Men’s Lacrosse is wrapping up their regular season on Monday. It is Senior Night for the program as well. Should be an exciting contest as we host Hood River.

The Men’s and Women’s Tennis Program head to the State Tournament on Thursday and Friday. They will be playing at the Babette Horenstein Tennis Center in Beaverton. On the Women’s side, Eryn Fiabane will be representing Wilson High School, while on the Men’s side, Caden Samkutty and the doubles team of Shawn Sussman and Drew Wiley will be competing in the State Tournament as well.

On Sunday, May 20th at 2pm, the PIL is hosting their annual Conference of Champions Celebration at the Nike Tiger Woods Center. We will be honoring our PIL Champions and student-athletes.

Wilson High School is hosting the Compassion Clinic on Saturday May 19th from 8am-3pm. This is a free clinic that offers a variety of resources including Dental Treatment, Basic Medical Exams, Eye Exams, and more. If you are in need of an updated physical, this would be a great opportunity to take advantage of a free service.

There is still time and room to sign up for the Brats and Brews House Party hosted by Leanne Van Horn. This was one of the items at the auction that benefits Wilson Athletics.
