Hopefully everyone had a great Spring Break! Whether it was spending time with family, on a trip with your program or practicing this past week, I hope you were able to charge up the batteries because we are back to full swing this week.

Greetings Sports Fans!

Hopefully everyone had a great Spring Break! Whether it was spending time with family, on a trip with your program or practicing this past week, I hope you were able to charge up the batteries because we are back to full swing this week.

Coach Shetler was kind enough to allow my son and me to tag along with the Baseball Team down to Arizona. What a great experience for the squad. Coach Shetler and his staff do an outstanding job of providing a fun experience for the players. And gets four games in without having to worry about a possible rain out! We March On!

The Softball Program went south as well to get games in for their program. What a great opportunity for the program as well. Nothing better than building Team Chemistry on a road trip and having an opportunity to play out of state opponents.

The Men’s and Women’s Golf Programs are back at it with the Men’s Team at Red Tail and Heron Lakes this week and the Women’s Team at Heron Lakes and the Canby Invitational. Both Coach K and Widman are doing an outstanding job of leading their programs.

If you are a golfer and looking for a fun tournament the Women’s Golf Program is having a fundraiser at Red Tail Golf Course. This would be a great opportunity to get a group together and support Coach K and Women’s Golf. Please visit the following site for more information.https://www.golfgenius.com/pages/1229154

The Tennis Programs facing off with Aloha on Monday with the Men’s Team at Gabriel and the Women’s Program on the road at Aloha.  On Friday, the Men’s Team plays at OES while the Women’s Program heads to West Linn.

Track will have their second meet on Wednesday at Cleveland. Coach Esbensen and his staff have created a positive, fun, and competitive Track and XC Program. They do an outstanding job of managing so many kids and events! We March On!

If you haven’t been able to come out and see a Lacrosse Game, I highly recommend it. They are fun and exciting to watch. Coach Baker and MacDicken have got their teams prepared for a hopeful playoff push.

We are going to get into the grind of the season without much time off between contests, practices, and more importantly, staying ahead of your studies.  Injury prevention, hydration, rest, and nutrition all play a role as well. If you have any ailments, be sure to utilize our Athletic Trainer to stay ahead of any potential injuries. The following link is a good reminder about proper nutrition, sleep, and hydration.

Student-Athletes of the Week-

Maya Goines-Softball-According to Coach Walmer, Maya had a great Spring trip with the squad. She was a super positive presence and performed under pressure. She batted .467 with a .600 slugging percentage while knocking in 6 RBI’s.

Petie Wogan-Baseball-While in Arizona, Petie had 7 hits in 15 at-bats, including a triple, 3 RBI’s, 3 Runs Scored, and swiped 3 bases. Petie is a super positive player on the team and is one of the most coachable kids in the program.
