Greetings Sports Fans! A colleague shared the following quote from George Raveling with me and I thought it ties in nicely with the quote from the great John Wooden above and the work we are focusing on with regards to character and leadership. “Every day we must live with a sense of urgency and intention while being more patient with ourselves and our growth. The road towards self-mastery does not happen overnight. Change requires trusting the timing of your life. We cannot control everything that happens in our life, but we can control how we think about situations. We must strive to cultivate a mindset of getting better daily. There is no reset button on this game called life. The only thing that will ever be guaranteed is this moment. Design the life you envision. Life is too short, not to go for it. May we silence self-doubt and comparing our lives to others. This act alone is courageous and will leave precious time each day to focus on what truly matters while freeing your mind to seek new levels of creativity, love, peace, prosperity, and possibility. This is your life. You can do what you want with it. The trajectory of our lives change, the moment we consistently take full accountability for our actions, behaviors, and mindsets. No matter how long we live, our time is limited. So halt the act of waiting for the perfect moment to change. Focus on using the resources that you have accessible and the lessons you have acquired to evolve and to get better physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. The fruits of your labor will blossom in unimaginable ways when you wholeheartedly take the first step to transform from within!
